Hertford Magical Music Tour! TreeHouse Party!

Last month Hertford had a magical mystery musical Tour. Yes I also thought that name was a joke. I have a friend called Zoe who told me about this event and because she is who she is I thought it was a Joke! or just a name she made up. But believe it or not, that was the actual Name.

Safe to say it provided me with a lot of joy!

Anyway a friend of mine has a band Called “TreeHouse Party” let me tell you about this band! they are awesome! And here are just some snaps that I have found time to edit for you!

Breast cancer fundraising at Mardleybury Gallery!

As I have mentioned before I am a gallery manager at a place called Mardleybury Gallery in Datchworth, Hertfordshire.

Tonight is our breast cancer wine tasting charity fundraising event! We have painted the gallery pink, and about 20 artistists have donated work for us for our secret auction, where all proceeds go yo breast cancer! Its safe to say ita Going to be epic.

If your a Hertfordshire local you may see some pink sheet floating around all over the place. Find them, take. Selfie with then and post them on Facebook! We would love to see who gets our lost sheep!

With some you may even earn a prize!

Today In preparation we got a bunch of artists and other who were with us to do a workshop lead by the talented Michael salt. We got then all to blow up our many pink balloons. Here they are in action!

News.

I am aware that I don’t hold as many followers as I perhaps could. Honestly blogging, up until recently hasn’t been something that has been massively important. I have had a lot of work and a training course to do over the last year since I Graduated!

But not any more.

I am free of education finally!!

If I’m honest with myself, the only reason why I used to blog was because I felt like I had to, because that is what the uni expected of me, and if I’m honest when it comes to painting, I only ever painted for uni or for school.

Studying art almost made me loose my flare.

BUT! and there is a but!

I now work at a Gallery, Called Mardleybury Gallery in Hertfordshire. This is such a beautiful wonderful amazing place to work. Although I now work 2 jobs, One as a children’s worker for Hertford community church, and the other as a Gallery manager, you would think that my art side would be squashed by being far to busy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m busy. I work about 6 days a week and who knows when I will get a holiday! but working in a job that means I spend my day surrounded by art and my life speaking to artists, my love for art has come back with vengeance.

I am, for the first time in my entire life, painting because I love to paint, instead of painting because some one is making me and painting because I have to hand something in for my blooming deadlines.

Life is Good… Just remember to do the things you love. Don’t wait for life to slow down. Life never slows down. Ever. So embrace the pace and do what you love to do.

Cheers for listening to my wisdom for the day.

Peace

Transitions is a local charity in Hertford which plans to work with young people who suffer from addiction. It is located in a home in the Centre of Hertford. The idea is for doctors from all over the country will refer young people under the age of 18 normally who struggle with addiction, to transitions where they will receive specialised attention by skilled professionals. This project is a massive vision and is still in the fund-raising place. As part of raising money for this charity, they put on a ladies tea. I was asked to photograph this event, for promotional purposes.
